Bradshaw Hall Fisheries, a member of Premier FisheriesFishery Details:
Dating back as far as the 12th Century and then of historical significance serving Hardcastle’s textile mill Bradshaw Hall sits along Bradshaw Brook on which the fishery have fishing rights, and lies next to Jumbles Country Park, popular with nature lovers and ramblers and featuring woodland and wetlands rich in wildlife. The fishery has been developed to widen the natural habitat including inaccessible islands for nesting birds and an extensive planting programme to attract and maintain balanced wildlife populations.
Bradshaw Hall are committed to offering the enjoyment and relaxation of angling to all, with a continuous development and maintenance programme, including improvement of facilities available to people with special needs, and actively helping local schools introduce youngsters to fishing The LakesAll the lakes at Bradshaw are matured with good access and well kept swims, offering a variety of stock.
Lake 2 is the specimen lake, holding good numbers of big carp that go to over 30 lb, caught on boilies, corn or meat. Perch have been recorded to 4 lb with quality roach and bream and good tench to 6 lb on red maggot. Lake 3 has 34 pegs and carp topping 20 lb plus bream to 7 lb with Method and groundbait feeder working well.
Lakes 5 and 6 both offer mixed fishing chub, bream, carp and roach and Lake 7 is ideal; for beginners and youngsters being full of silver fish where bites are easy to find. Lake 8 opened in April 207 has 102 pegs and is stocked with over 60,000 fish making it a match paradise with its canal layout, ensuring everyone has a far bank to fish to between 8 and 14 metres. For comfort and easy disabled access all pegs are two metres wide and tarmac covered. Summer
